 Everyone is so excited about the Acapulco Mission trip on June 12-19. The 30 member mission team will be going to an orphanage in Acapulco, Mexico to share their various gifts and talents. There will be many opportunities to make donations to help with the cost of the trip. The first opportunity is the steak dinner on March 27. These are great steaks grilled to perfection and the potato casserole is delicious. Please remember to pray for all the First Family members going to Acapulco. What a blessing to have so many members willing to offer their time and gifts...

Here at First Presbyterian Church we've finally made the big leap to MP3 recording.  This means a couple of things regarding how you might go about obtaining archived sermons and services.Every week the sermons from the morning and evening services from the previous Sunday will be made available for you to download on the Sermon Archive page.  The files will be the sermons only and not the whole service.If you would like to order a sermon or a whole service on CD, you may do so by contacting the church office.

 VBS 2009 Kicks Off!VBS 2009 "Camp Yazoo" kicked off it's first day of two on Wednesday morning, May 27.  Children aged 4 years through rising 6th grade enjoyed a morning of singing, games and Bible study at the church.  After an energizing time of singing in the chapel all of the "campers" spent the rest of the morning moving through 3 stations as the learned about the different names of God.  The stations focused on 3 of the many different names God gives us for himself:  God our Provider, God our Peace, and God our Righteousness.Thanks to all our adult...

New First Family Series

Wednesday, March 4, marks the beginning of a new 5-week series at First Family.  Jerry Everitt, father of our own Elliott Everitt, will take us through a series entitled "From Malachi to Matthew: the Silent Years?"  This is a study of the political and religious history of Palestine from the end of Ezra/Nehemiah to the gospel narratives. It will cover the time period of about 450 years which are not covered in the Protestant Canon.  As usual, there will be Youth Group, children's activities, and a nursery.  Join us for this sweet time of intimate fellowship!
