Final Day of Construction and VBS

It was yet another great day in Corozal.  We headed early this morning to the high school to finish our construction project.  It was a heavy lifting, sweaty job to get the last segment of sidewalk completed, but we were done by 11:00am!  It looked great, and we were all proud of ourselves.

After lunch we had a chance to wash up a bit, and then, before heading to VBS, we had a chance to drive by Lupe's house.  Lupe is a native Belizean, employed by MTW, who has been our leader and helper and keeper ALL week.  He is great.  His 19 year old son is getting married on Saturday, so he has had a lot going on as you can imagine, and in Belize it is custom for the groom's family to put on the wedding festivities.  We got to see where the reception would be held in his yard, and how his wife and other women are gathering chickens to feed an expected 300 Saturday night.  Please pray for him and his family, especially son Kelvin, as they enjoy this special time.  Lupe truly has been a blessing to know and be around this week, and we hope to all gather around him and bathe him prayer tomorrow evening.

The last day of VBS was a blast, and it was ended with hugs and high fives.  We hammered home the last little it we could about Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  It has truly been a blessing to love these kids this week, and it is sad to have left them.  Many asked, "Will you be back next year?"  The answer?  We shall see...

Tomorrow we go on our trip day.  4 of us are going to tour Mayan ruins, while the other 5 take a small plane 15 minutes over to San Pedro island to snorkel.  It should prove to be a great day.  Thank you for your prayers, and God bless!
